Same problem, different numbers.
===============================================================
Let f be a linear function for which
f(−2) = −6
and
f(4) = 18
-----------------------
That gives you 2 points, sufficient for a linear function.
(-6,-2) and (18,4)
-----------------------
find the equation, then find f(0)
Determine f(0)

You have points (1,6) and (-1,8) and you want to know the variable in (6,v).

Find the linear equation, then substitute for x=6 and solve for y=v.

The similar problem @ALAN3354 gave you should have points: (- 2, - 6) and (4, 18), NOT (- 6, - 2) and (18, 4).
