Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
expand it
3x^2-x=14
move everything to one side
3x^2-x-14=0
factors of 14 are 14/1 and 2/7
(3x ) (x )
3x-7)(X+2)=0
x=-2, (7/3)
x^2-x-42=0, taking the first coefficient and multiplying it by the constant
factor
(x-7)(x-6). Divide the constant by 3 and reduce fully
(x-(7/3)) (x-2)
move the denominator, if there is one, out front.
(3x-7)(x+2)
