Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Jim's rate of working is:
[ 1 job ] / [ 4 hrs ]
Susie's rate of working is:
[ 1 job ] / [ 3 hrs ]
Let = time in hrs for them
to do the job working together.
Add their rates of working to get
their rate working together
-------------------------
Multiply both sides by
--------------------
[ hrs ] x [ dollars/hr ] = [ estimate in dollars ]
$94.29 for labor
