Question 1093125: One tiny leak drips 3drops every second and each drop is 0.3ml.How much water will be wasted if you ignore the leak for one year
Answer by math_helper(2461) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3 drops/sec * 0.3ml /drop = 0.9ml/sec
0.9ml/sec * 365 days/year * 24hr/day *60 min/hr * 60 sec/min * 1year = 28382400 ml ( 28382.4 liters )
[ It also works out to over 77 liters per day, equivalent to more than 20 US gallons per day ].
