Question 1092742: I am the difference of two numbers in the 20's.If you turn me upside down,my value becomes 3 more than my original value. What number am I?
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the difference has to be equal to 6.

when you turn 6 upside down, it becomes 9.

therefore, any two numbers in the 20's that give you 6 when subtracted from each other should provide you with the answer.

26 minus 20 = 6
27 minus 21 = 6
28 minus 22 = 6
29 minus 23 = 6

those are the candidates.

the difference when you subtract the smaller of the pair from the larger of the pair is equal to 6.

when you turn 6 upside down, you get 9.
