:
Note 1997 = 0, then slope = (9900 - 8900) / (9 - 1) = 125
:
b) y = 125x + b
we are given the point (1, 8900)
:
8900 = 125(1) + b
:
b = 8900 - 125 = 8775
:
y = 125x + 8775
:
