A rectangular swimming pool 15 meters by 6 meters will be surrounded by a concrete path 2 meters wide. Find:
1. Area of the path
2. The cost of concreting to a depth of 10cm if the concrete costs $165 per cubic meter

A rectangular swimming pool 15 meters by 6 meters will be surrounded by a concrete path 2 meters wide. Find:
1. Area of the path

The dimensions outside the part are 17*10 meters
The area inside the path = 17*10 = 170 sq meters
Area of the path = 170 - 15*6 = 80 sq meters.

2. The cost of concreting to a depth of 10cm if the concrete costs $165 per cubic meter
If you mean the path:
Vol = area*height = 80*0.1 = 8 cubic meters.
$165*8 = $1320

The cost of concreting to a depth of 10 cm if the concrete costs $165 per cubic meter If you mean the path: Vol = area*height = 100*0.1 = 10 cubic meters. $165*10 = $1650
