Question 1055342: Find value of r
(-4,3),(r,5) m=1/4
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(-4,3),(r,5) m=1/4
change in y=2
change in x=r+4
that ratio is 1/4
so
2/(r+4)=1/4
cross-multiply
r+4=8
r=4
the points are (-4,3) and (4,5). The slope is 2/8=1/4
