Question 1035640: The shipping cost for an order at an online store is 1/10 the cost for the items you order. What is an expression for the total of a given order. What are the total cost for order of $43,$79,$95, and $103.
Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let's call the amount of our order, x.
The shipping cost is 1/10 of that, or .1x.
The total of a given order would then be
x + .1x = 1.1x
Thus,
$43 ==> $47.30
$79 ==> $86.90
etc...you do the last two...
