You cannot get "zero" for the results of a Pythagorean Theorem computation unless you did not have a triangle in the first place.
Share the computation and its results plus the round-off precision requirements of the problem, and then perhaps I can help you.

a zero answer is the same as 0.0000000000000...
if they tell you to round it to the nearest integer, then the answer is 0
if they tell you to round it to the nearest tenth, then the answer is 0.0
if they tell you to round it to the nearest hundredth, then the answer is 0.00
if they tell you to round it to the nearest thousandth, then the answer is 0.000
technically you would be correct if you just said 0, because 0 is the same as 0.0 is the same as 0.00 is the same as 0.000.
it depends on the who's giving the test and what they expect as an answer.
you should be ok if you put the number of decimal digits they want you to round to.
you are not incorrect if you just say 0, but you never really know what to expect, especially if the test is being analyzed by a machine.
then it's a function of the program that was written to analyze your answer.
some are better than others in that they are more flexible with how you show the answer as long as it's correct.
since 0 is the same as 0.00, you should be correct either way, but you can't be sure unless you know exactly what they expect6.
they don't always tell you, which can make it frustrating if you guess wrong.
