tallest to shortest. Mark is in the middle. The others
measure 168 cm, I72 cm, 176 cm and 180 cm. Since the median
of these 4 scores is 174 cm, this means that Mark must be
174 cm tall. Is this true or false?
174 is the median of the 4 soldiers' heights WITHOUT Mark.
But if you put Mark in the middle, the median of the 5 soldiers,
including Mark, might not necessarily be 174.

Mark's height could be anywhere from 172 to 176.
However, whatever his height is, that would be the median
of the five soldiers.
