the equation is 4x^23-3x^13+2x^3-3
if you divide it by x + 1, then you can evaluate it at x = -1 and you will get the remainder.
f(x) = 4x^23-3x^13+2x^3-3
f(-1) = 4*(-1)^23 - 3*(-1)^13 + 2*(-1)^3 - 3
do the math and you get f(-1) = -6
that's your remainder.
