I tried to follow the steps in the book to do this but its not clear enough for me.I'm not sure how to go about doing this.Do I just add them together and then plug in numbers that are given? The problem is:

The choice for answers are: A) (3,2) B)(-2,3) C)(3,-2)D)(-3, 5/2) E)(none of them)

I think I have the answer ,but I don't think I am doing it correctly.Can you tell me if I am correct and can you show me your way ,the easiest way to do this using the correct answer? Problem:
0.6(x-50)=18-0.3(40-10x)
Answer that I came up with:
6x-300=18-120+30x
6x-300=-138+30x
6x-162=30x
-162=24x
-6.75=x

Question 129169: I am a bit confused about this problem. I am seeing it as a negative 4 (-4). If anyone can tell me if I have performed this expression correct please let me know, thanks!
Problem:
2(a-4)-4(-3-2a) (I am seeing a negative 4 outside of the parenthesis here on this first step, am I correct?)
Answer that I came up with:
2(a-4)-4(-3-2a)
2a-8+12+8a
2.25=a

This is my algebra question, it is not an exam...just a sample test, but I am not sure exactly what it is asking.
Describe whether the given relations describe y as a function of x. Give the doman and each relation and/or function.
y = -x^2
xy=1
y = -x^3
It also says sketch here (underneath each question). Do I solve the problem, give the domain and describe whether the give relations describe y as a function of x? I believe that (a) and (c) is "no, y is not a function of x, but that (b) is.
