in example:
Penny collected some change in preparation for a garage sale.She collected two more nickels than twice the number of dimes and eight fewer quarters than twice the number of nickels.if the value of quarters was $1.60 greater than four times the value of nickelsand dimes together, what was the total valueof the change that penny collected.

Question 112631: One bacterail culture is 18 days older than a second bacterial culture. In 10 days the first culture will be twice the age of the second. Find the present age of the two cultures.
x= age of second culture
x+10= age of second culturte in 10 days
x+18= age of first culture
x+18+10= age of first culture in 10 days

Question 113534: I am having trouble working out this equation.
a= Q/(C(√64.4*e))-(√(a/π))
I want to solve for "a" but cannot figure out how to get the "a" in the right side of the equation to the left and in a form that is a= "answer".
Any help would be appreciated.
