First simplify the equation by removing the parentheses.
To do this multiply 4 times 3c and then 4 times 5.
Now the equation looks like this:

Next move all terms with the c variable to one side of the equal sign
and all terms without a variable to the opposite side of the equal sign.
This is done by subtracting 20 from both sides of the equal sign.

8-20 equals -12 and 20-20 equals zero so now we have this:

Now to solve for c divide both sides of the equal sign by 12

-12 divided by 12 equals -1 and 12c divided by 12 equals c
