4a^2 - 10a + 6 = 0
Simplify, divide by 2
2a^2 - 5a + 3 = 0
Factors to
(2a - 3)(a - 1) = 0
Two solutions
a = 1
and
2a = 3
a = 3/2
a = 1.5
