Please submit your question completely...
if your question is solve for x, the expression must me an equation
Suppose your question is as given below, you can proceed your question as follows...
-5(3x-4)-(6x-1) = 0
Remove the parenthesis.....
-5 * 3x - 5 * (-4) - 6x + 1 = 0
==> -15x + 20 - 6x + 1 =0
==> -15x - 6x + 20 +1 = 0
==> -21 x + 21 = 0
subtract 21 from both sides..
==> -21x + 21 - 21 = 0 - 21
==> -21x = -21
Divide both sides by -21
==>
==> x = 1
Hence the solution.
Hope you found the explanation useful.
