Answer by JulietG(1812)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P + E + C = 105.50
Hmmm...do you have a tax amount? Otherwise, we'll calculate the amount with tax included.
P = 7E
C = E+20
Substitute those values into the top equation.
7E + E + (E+20) = 105.50
9E + 20 = 105.50
9E = 85.50
E = 9.50
If E = 9.50, then C = 29.50
Since P is 7 times E, E then equals 66.50
66.50 + 9.50 + 29.50 = 105.50
