Rewrite the middle term as the sum of two terms and then factor completely. 10x^2 + 19x + 6
--------
You want two numbers whose product is a*c=10*6 = 60
and whose sum is b=19
--------
The numbers are 4 and 15.
So replace the 19x by 4x+15x to get:
10x^2+4x+15x+6
Factor the 1st two terms and the last two terms separately:
2x(5x+2)+3(5x+2)
Factor again to get the answer:
(5x+2)(2x+3)

Rewrite the middle term as the sum of two terms and then factor completely. 10x2 + 19x + 6
my options are;
a)(5x-2)(2x-3)
b)(10x + 2)(x + 3)
c)(5x + 1)(2x + 6)
(5x + 2)(2x + 3)
Multiply the coefficient of x^2 and the constant together.
(10)(6)=60
Then replace the coefficient of x with two integers that multiply to give you 60, but add together to give you the coefficient of x, 19.
(4)(15)=60 and 4+15=19
Then factor by grouping:
Happy Calculating!!!
