Answer by JulietG(1812) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If all the sweatshirts sold were yellow, the store would have sold $387.50 worth of sweatshirts.
$387.50 - $378.70 = $8.80
The difference between the cost of the sweatshirts is $12.50 - $11.95, or .55
8.80 / .55 = 16
16 white sweatshirts were sold at a cost of $191.20, leaving
15 yellow sweatshirts sole (31-16) at a cost of $187.50
Total: $191.20 + $187.50 = $378.70
