Answer by malakumar_kos@yahoo.com(315) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
= (3/4)x + 2. Write the answer in slope-intercept form. Write an equation of the line that passes through (0, -4) and is parallel y
Let the required Eq'n be y = mx+c (slope intercept form)
the line that passes through (0,-4)is parallel to y =( 3/4).x+2
therefore their slopes are equal. hence slope to the required line is
m = 3/4 y = mx+c passes through (0,-4) hence -4 = m.0+c
-4 = c
substituting the value of m=3/4 and c = -4 the required equation is
y = (3/4)x+(-4) i.e, 4y = 3x-16 (taking 4 as theL.C.M)
