MULTIPLY THE FIRSTSECOND EQUATION BY 2 & THE SECOND EQUATION BY 3 & ADD THEM THUS:
4X+6Y=16
9X-6Y=-3

13X=13
X=13/13
X=1 ANSWER.
2*1+3Y=8
2+3Y=8
3Y=8-2
3Y=6
Y=6/3
Y=2 ANSWER.
PROOF
3*1-2*2=-1
3-4=-1
-1=-1
