x/(x-2) for x not = to -3 and x not = to 5
(x+3)(x-5)=x^2-2x-15
the denominators cancel each other out.
new numerator
5(x+3)+3*(x-5)
5x+15+3x-15
8x
new denominator
5*(x-5)+3*(x+3)
5x-25+3x+9
8x-16
8*(x-2)
new fraction
8x/8*(x-2)
x/(x-2)
