Hi, there--

THE PROBLEM:
Factor each expression completely.
3x^2y^3+6x^2y-3xy

A SOLUTION:

Every term in your polynominal has at least one factor each of 3, x, and y. We factor out 3xy.

The other polynomial xy^2 + 2x - 1 has no factors (other than 1 and itself.) We're done.

Hope this helps! Feel free to email if you have any questions about the solution.

Good luck with your math,
