Solve this system using the elimination method:

2x+9y= -15 ***

5x+9y= -24   |Subtracting 2nd from 1st EQ to eliminate y

 -3x = 9

   x = -3  and y = -9/9 = -1   }

Using 5x + 9y = -24

      -15 - 9 = -24
