Question 8217: what is the answer to this??? 5(9+3)-3(4)
Answer by glabow(165)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First you do any arithmetic you can in parentheses (groups). (9+3) is done first to get 12. Then you do any multiplication and division, left to right.
That means you do 5(12) and 3(4). That gives you 60 and 12.
Then you do addition and subtraction, again left to right (although they can be done in any order, actually).
Can you finish it off? [60-12]
