Solve the system of equations:
1)
2)
Rewrite equation 1) as:
1) and substitute for x in equation 2)
2a) Simplify and solve for y.
Subtract 2 from both sides.
Divide both sides by 5.
Now substitute this for y in equation 1) and solve for x.
The solution is: (-1, -1)
