Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6 to the second negative power
---------
The negative means "invert".
The 2 means "square"
They are like instructions; you may do them in any order.
------------
If you invert first you get (1/6)^2=1/36
If you square first you get 36^-1= 1/36
--------------------------
