10x + 15y = 35

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-5 x -10 y = -22 .............1
Total value
10 x + 15 y = 35 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 3
Multiply (2) by 2
-15 x -30 y = -66
20 x + 30 y = 70
Add the two equations
5 x = 4
/ 5
x = 1
plug value of x in (1)
-5 x -10 y = -22
-4 -10 y = -22
-10 y = -22 + 4
-10 y = -18
y = 2
x= 1
y= 2
