Question 763407: The length of a rectangle is 3 1/2 times it's width. Its perimeter is 108 cm. Find its length and width. choices for the width: 12, 18, 24
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Width = x
Length = 7/2x
Perimeter = 2* length + 2* width
108 = 2(7/2x) + 2(x)
108 = 7x + 2x
108 = 9x
x = 12cm
Width = 12cm
Length = 42cms.
Hope this helps.
