Question 753823: solve 3x+6=7-2x
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x + 6 = 7 - 2x
Collect unknowns on left
knowns on right, remembering to
change the sign as you change
the side.
3x + 2x = 7 - 6
5x = 1
x = 1/5
You can check your answer by
putting the x value into your
equations.
3x + 6 = 7 - 2x
3(1/5) + 6 = 7 - 2(1/5)
3/5 + 6 = 7 - 2/5
33/5 = 33/5
Hope this helps
:-)
