I understand how to simplify when the exponent is inside the braket ex. (5x^2-6) but im not sure what to do with the exponents out side the brackets. I really appreciate any help!

Perform the multiplications which the exponents signify and then combine like-terms, computing to the greatest extent possible. The finishing simplifications should be to put the terms in order according to their form, like in decreasing order based on exponent of the variable.
