Let f = unknown number of feet

There are 12 inches in a foot, so there are 12*f or 12f inches in f feet.


Ex: say that f = 3 (ie 3 feet). There are 12f = 12*3 = 36 inches in 3 feet. You can use any positive number for 'f' to provide other examples
