Hint: if you're trying to make your equations look a certain way, you can surround the equations with "pre..../pre" (without quotes, make sure they are both enclosed in < and > or it wont work) to make the formatting display correctly. If you're solving for y then
Start with given equation
subtract from both sides
Multiply both sides by 3
Distribute the 3 on the right side
Subtract fractions
Subtract 5 from both sides

You can simplify the fraction to this

Now the equation is in a recognizable form
