(1/6)X - (2/5)Y = -4
See the difference?
It clarifies that the x & y is not in the denominator.

(1/6)X - (2/5)Y = -4 time 30 --> 5x -12y = -120

5X/6=10 CROSS MULTIPLY
5X=10*6
5X=60
X=60/5
X=12 ANS.

4+Y/5=7
Y/5=7-4
Y/5=3
Y=15 ANS.
PROOF:
