5x=(-23)+y
2y=21+5x
Answer by Ave(106) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Elimination Method
start by putting both in standard form
5x-y=-23
-5x+2y=21 add both equations together
0x+y=-2
now that you have y, plug it into either equation to find x
5x-(-2)=-23
5x+2=-23 add -2 to both sides
5x=-25 divide by 5
(-2, -5)
