3x+4y=-3
x+2y=-1

x+2y=-1

3x+4y=-3
-2(x+2y)=-2*-1

3x+4y=-3
-2x-4y=2
---------
1x + 0y = -1

x = -1

x+2y = -1

-1+2y = -1

2y = -1+1

2y = 0

y = 0/2

y = 0

So x = -1 and y = 0
