we have to find the value of x
so make x the subject
add -2 to both sides
3x+2-2=11-2
3x=9
divide by 3
3x/3 = 9/3
x=3

the denominators are 8 & x
so product is 8x
multiply equation by 8x
we get
%288x%2A4%29%2F8+=+%288%2A8x%29%2F%28x%29
4x= 64
/4
x=16
So
4%2F8+=+8%2F16
