If equations are multiples of each other they have infinite number of solutions. They are the same line.
If they have no solution they are parallel.
2x+2y=4
4x+4y=8
or
y=3x-2
2y=6x-4
same line infinite number of solutions
y=3x-2
y=3x-4
parallel lines with no solutions
