Ashley rowing speed = A
speed of the current = C
A = E + 1
d = v*t
6 = (E+C)1
E + C = 6 mph
6 = (A - C)2
3 = (E + 1 - C)
E + C = 6
E - C = 2
2E = 8
E = 4
A = E + 1 = 5
C = 2
Check:
(4+2)(1) = 5
(5-2)(2) = 6
