Multiply (1) by -1 and add to (2)

x+y=1
x=1-y....................(4)
Add (2) and (3)
3x+y-z=2
x+2y+z=0

4x+3y=2.................(5)
Put the value of x from (4) to (5)

4-4y+3y=2
4-y=2
