Question 625535: Given 2x-3 = 2-5x and that x = 1-2h , solve for h.
Answer by Maths68(1474) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x-3=2-5x
2x+5x=2+3
7x=5
Put x=1-2h in above equation
7(1-2h)=5
7-14h=5
-14h=5-7
-14h=-2
Divide by -14 both sides
-14h/-14=-2/-14
h=1/7
Given
x=1-2h
Put value of h in above equation
x=1-2(1/7)
x=1-2/7
x=(7-2)/7
x=5/7
Check
======
2x-3 = 2-5x
2(5/7)-3=2-5(5/7)
10/7-3=2-25/7
(10-21)/7=(14-25)/7
-11/7=-11/7
