24x^4 + 72x^3 - 54x^2 - 162x = 0
Group factor
24x^3(x + 3) - 54x(x + 3) = 0
Factor out (x+3)
(x + 3) (24x^3 - 54x) = 0
Therefore
x = -3
and
24x^3 - 54x = 0
factor out 6x
6x(4x^2 - 9) = 0
Three more solutions
x = 0
and
4x^2 = 9
x^2 =
x = +/- 3/2,
x = 1.5
x = -1.5
