-5x+y=-2
-3x+6y=-12

Answer by lawdej(58)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
use elimination method
multiply the first equation by -6 to cancel y
30x-6yy=12
-3x+6y=-12
add
27x=0
x=0
to find the value of y substitute value of x=0 in -5x+y=-2 or in -3x+6y=-12
take -5x+y=-2
-5 * 0+y=-2
y=-2
so value of x=0,value of y=-2
