Question 57902: two consecutive odd integers are such that the first, plus twice the second, plus three times the first is equal 29.find the numbers.

the second side of triangle is 6 more than the fisrt side and third side is 10 more than the first side.the perimeter of the triangle is 70 meters. find the lenghts of the sides.

two consecutive odd integers are such that the first, plus twice the second, plus three times the first is equal 29.find the numbers.
Let the two numbers be x and x+2.
EQUATION:
x+2(x+2)+3x = 29
6x+4=29
6x=25
x=25/6
Comment: Something is wrong with the instructions for
this problem. x does not turn out to be an integer.

The second side of triangle is 6 more than the fisrt side and third side is 10 more than the first side.the perimeter of the triangle is 70 meters. find the lenghts of the sides.
Let the 1st side be "x"
2nd side is "x+6"
3rd side is "x+10"
EQUATION:
Perimeter = 70 meters
x+x+6+x+10=70
3x=54
x=18 meters
x+6=24 meters
x+10=28 meters
