Question 547676: 2x+3y=3
5x+7y=11

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 x + 3 y = 3 .............1
5 x + 7 y = 11 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -7
Multiply (2) by 3
-14 x -21 y = -21
15 x + 21 y = 33
Add the two equations
1 x = 12.00
/ 1
x = 12
plug value of x in (1)
2 x + 3 y = 3
24 + 3 y = 3
3 y = 3-24
3 y = -21
y = -7
