Question 54722: If you see a problem like this: 3h-7=47, do you change the subtraction to addition?

Yes; to eliminate -7 from the left side of the equation and move to the right side you need to add 7 to both sides.
3h - 7 + 7 = 47 + 7; then 3h = 54; h = 54/3 ; h =18.
