Question 494195: please help me solve this
rewrite the equations in the form y=mx+b
x=2
3x+5y=-4
Answer by chessace(471) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=2 has no y, can't be done. Or is already in that form with x playing the role of y, x = 0*whatever + 2
3x+5y=-4 just make legal moves to get the y all by itself on the left, and grouping the "x" and constant terms on the right:
5y = -3x -4
y = (-3/5)x - 4/5
I.e., m=-3/5, b=-4/5
