Question 458021: The value of x,y and z respectively on simplifying the equation 2x+3y=0,3y+4z=14.2x+4z=26 is?Thanks a lot.
Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x+3y=0 ---> 2x = -3y
3y+4z=14
2x+4z=26
----------
Sub for 2x in the 3rd eqn
-3y + 4z = 26
+3y + 4z = 14 eqn 2
-------------- Add
8z = 40
z = 5
-------
+3y + 4z = 14 eqn 2
3y + 20 = 14
3y = -6
y = -2
-------
2x = -3y = 6
x = 3
(x,y,z) = (3,-2,5)
