Given:
y = a/(a-x)
where:
a=1/4
x= 3/16
---------------------
y= .25/(1/4-3/16)
convert 1/4 to 4/16 to get
y= .25/(4/16-4/16)
y= .25/(1/16
y= .25(16)
y= 4
The value of y is 4
----------------------
y = a/(a-x)
y(a-x) = a
ay-xy = a
xy = ay-a
Divide by y
x = a - a/y
